Divas and Desserts: Cabaret Evening at nexStage on Valentine’s Day 2010
“Divas and Desserts!” the nexStage Theatre’s Annual Valentine’s benefit concert on Sunday, February 14, 2010 promises to be a delectable cabaret evening filled with music, song and of course, divine desserts. Hosted by the Board of Trustees of the nexStage Theatre, this celebration of Valentine’s Day to raise funds for the nexStage’s performing arts programs will take place at the downtown venue of the nexStage, 120 South Main Street, Ketchum.
Combining the incredible talents of three beautiful and gifted professional songstresses – opera ‘diva’ MelodieTaylor Mauldin, Nashville ‘swing’ diva Jilla Webb, and our local theatre ‘diva’ Cheryl Morrell, the evening will feature a program of gorgeous show-stopping tunes. The entertainment debuts with a festive cocktail hour of decadent desserts, chocolates and champagne, followed by cabaret seating for the “Divas” live performance of classics and show songs on stage. ‘Ketchum formal attire’ suggested makes this a stylish evening for dressing up to the nines or elegantly casual. The doors of the theatre will open at 6:30 for the champagne reception and the performance will run from 8 p.m. - 9:30 pm.
A fabulous silent auction will offer treats, luxuries and one of a kind items donated by nexStage’s many local business and individual supporters and packaged as the perfect indulgent valentine’s gifts. The concert will have one intermission when raffle winners will be announced. There will also be a drawing to win the oil painting by fine contemporary artist Blagojce, which he generously created as the poster art to celebrate this very special occasion. (See enclosed photo)
Tickets to “Divas and Desserts” are $80 per person with a special price of $60 per person if booked before January 31st
The seating will be at round tables, seating up to 12 friends but there will also be romantic tables of two for couples looking for a great way to spend their Valentine’s night alone together.
