If Rotarun opens will we have the same diligent effort which Ms. Busdon brought and gave even though she was not a board member ?
It is unfortunate to hear the resignation of Sarah Goldmann Busdon as their community representative (as she was not a board member) was accepted by the board recently and the question must be asked why? With all that Sarah has done for the community, it is not clear as to why the board; (most of whom have been non participatory as is common knowledge to those of us who have worked with Rotarun and Sarah in scheduling the activities) would not do all possible to retain the one person who has been an integral and instrumental figure in the growth of the organization. The face of change which comes with growth is understood, however when change is done by a non-profit are we not allowed the courtesy of information as to how the board plans to spend funds received and donated to continue the efforts Ms. Busdon pushed for. She is the one seen working toward the push to offer opportunities to those who could not afford the big mountain experience; working to provide local ski teams with options and co-ordinating patrol, what will happen now? Who will be held accountable for not holding onto a Patrol Director, Teacher and community volunteer that did so much for our children in the community? This is a sad day for many and one can only hope that the current board will step up and be held accountable for what appears to be an err in judgement. WHO will be responsible now for RR's patrol and PR and be so willing to help develop a place in our backyard which was affordable for all?

Laser will not take place, opening is on a limited basis??? What has the board been up to is my question.... read more
