Finding Fashions for Women and Teens- A Pleasant Surprise

Have you been to The Dollhouse Consignment Boutique?

I have just recently found the most unique and fashionable clothing store for women and high school girls in the valley. Not only did I find fashions from trendy to designer at very affordable prices, Lara the owner is friendly and welcoming to every person that walks into her store. She helped me find what I was looking for and was more concerned with how I looked and felt in the clothing rather than just making a sale. I have yet to find this type of respect from any other business/retailer in our valley as a high school student. As Hailey Gullstad, another high school student, said, "Business people over the years have earned the reputation of being conniving scum who will do anything to make an extra dollar.  However, anyone who holds this concept true has not met Lara Spencer." Just being a high school student she gave me a 10% incentive discount to remain in school and to continue my higher education.

As I shopped her store I realized that not only were their fashions for myself there was a wide range of fashions for women of all ages and fashion types- i.e. workout gear, evening dresses, business suits, and more. Its very cool that my mom and I can now shop together.

Finally at checkout Lara explained to me the actual process of consignment at the Dollhouse. As I student I did not realize that I could make a profit on my unwanted clothing. I saw several women picking up paychecks which inspired me to clean out my closet and start making money in this, as we all know, recession.  If the clothing gets sold within 60 days, the consignor receives a 45 percent cut, which is more than the 30-40 percent cut consignors can receive at other consignment stores in Sun Valley and if I chose to I could donate my unsold clothing to The Barkin' Basement and help the animal shelter.

I find this very refreshing and unexpected as I never knew about this unique store that not only helps keep money in our valley, donates to needs of our community, and is friendly. the Dollhouse has fashions that are unique and affordable that I could not find anywhere else form here to Boise.
