The Hunger Coalition Invites You To Get Involved
The Hope Garden is becoming a reality as the once-empty corner lot at Walnut and First Avenue in Hailey is transformed into an inviting collection of garden beds and pathways. In the coming weeks, The Hunger Coalition willhost work parties and invites the entire community to lend a hand. Beginning Sunday, June 6 with a day in the garden dedicated to “Laying Pathways”, work parties will occur on weekends and occasional Thursday evenings through Saturday, June 19.

Please contact Halle at 788-0121 x. 311 or hreikowsky@thehungercoalition.org to donate. The Saw tooth Botanical Garden has kindly offered to be another drop-off location for these donations. They are also soliciting old garden supplies to sell at a yard sale. You can help both organizations at once by dropping your tools and supplies at SBG and labeling those items intended for The Hunger Coalition.
Local businesses, such as Big Wood Landscaping, Wood River Organic Recycling, and Saw tooth Wood Products have already shown their support of The Hunger Coalition’s efforts through donations of gardening tools, compost and discounted fencing. Businesses and individuals interested in making significant contributions should contact Halle for more information at 788-0121 x. 311.
Green flyers announcing the dates and times of each scheduled work party are posted at businesses, coffee shops, community bulletin boards, and garden centers throughout the Wood River Valley. A complete Work Party schedule and Wish List can also be viewed on our website.
