Town Square Ribbon Cutting July 2nd

The pavers are laid, the fountain is bubbling, the stage is set and the ribbon will be cut at 5:00 p.m. by Mayor Randy Hall to celebrate the grand opening of Ketchum’s new Town Square.

The event will begin with festivities for children at 4 p.m. leading up to a short parade immediately preceding the ribbon cutting. After the ribbon cutting ceremony, which will honor some of Town Square’s primary beneficiaries, the KCDC volunteers, and the entire community that has rallied in support, there will be free ice cream, popcorn beer and wine, as well as a live music from the Bruce Innes Trio from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Everyone in the valley is invited to participate in the event to celebrate this special addition to the community and to kick off a weekend of holiday activities.

“Public space is vital for a vibrant and healthy town.  I believe the Ketchum Town Square will be come the heart of our community.  said Dale Bates, KCDC board member and chair of the Town Design Team.

Sponsorship and naming opportunities are still available for Town Square amenities. For more information call Jon Duval, executive director of the KCDC, at 727-2117.
