.A Major Pacific Storm System Will Move Into Idaho Today With Widespread Precipitation And Strong Winds. Snow Will Fall At Elevations Above 7000 Feet In The Central Idaho Mountains Beginning Sunday Morning And Continuing Into Sunday Night... Accumulating To Over A Foot In Some Locations. Snow Will Taper Off To Snow Showers By Monday Morning. Strong Winds Are Also Expected With This Storm System...Especially Along Ridge Lines And Higher Mountain Passes.

The National Weather Service In Pocatello Has Issued A Winter Storm Warning Above 7000 Feet For Heavy Snow And Blowing Snow Which Is In Effect Until 6 AM MDT Monday. The Winter Storm Watch Is No Longer In Effect.

 Snow Accumulations: 8 To 14 Inches

 Elevation: Above 7000 Feet.

 Timing: Sunday Morning Through Sunday Night

 Locations Include: Galena Summit...Smiley Creek Lodge... Copper Basin

 Winds: Southwest At 30 To 40 Mph At Ridge Lines

 Impacts: Heavy Snow...Low Visibility...Blowing And Drifting Snow Will Result In Difficult Driving And Hazardous Conditions For Outdoor Activities
