Harriman Trail Ten Miler

Mark your calendars, Labor Day weekend festivities have an addition: the Harriman Trail Ten Miler, solo or two person team run! A great opportunity to enjoy one of the Wood River Valleys amazing community assets, maybe have an opportunity to spot a mountain goat from one of the "spotting" locations, or just enjoy the beauty of the Boulders.

While some fine details are still being worked out, here is the current scoop: race day is September 4 (Sunday), start time is 10am (yup - you get to sleep in!). Start location is Baker Creek Rd. / Harriman Trail junction (for solo and team runners). Prairie Creek Rd. / Harriman Trail junction will serve as the team tag / switch location. Galena Lodge will be the finish line (actually, the finish will be on the west side of HWY 75) for all runners. After the race, runners will be treated to post race goodies at the Lodge as well as awards and a raffle for all entrants. A shuttle is being planned to return runners from Prairie Creek back to Baker Creek (for team members running the first leg) and from Galena back to Prairie Creek (for team members running the second leg) or to Baker Creek (solo runners). Registration is scheduled to open on August 1 at www.imathlete.com Once all race details are finalized, they will be posted at www.sunvalleyrunning.com This run would not be possible with out the efforts and support of the BCRD, Galena Lodge, the USFS and always the Elephants Perch! Stay tuned for more details, if you have any questions feel free to contact Brad Mitchell at info@sunvalleyrunning.com
