Sawtooth Brewery Grand Opening This Friday Dec. 2nd : Tap'n The Kegs @ 3pm

Sawtooth Brewery’s Grand Opening Celebration will be held this Friday, December 2, 2011, at 3pm at their tap room and brewery in Ketchum. After hosting their “Soft Opening” on 11/11/11, which had around 300 people come in 4 hours, they will celebrate the grand opening and begin regular business hours. The Grand Opening will include a unique and “smashing” ribbon cutting ceremony with Ketchum’s Mayor Randy Hall. The brewery will also have some light appetizers on hand throughout the evening. Sawtooth Brewery plans on releasing three new beers for the event: Out Cold Winter Ale, Pumpkin Cream Ale on Nitro, and Amber Ale. Sawtooth Brewery is located at 6th Street and Main Street in downtown Ketchum at 600 North Main Street, Unit #A-120. The entrance to the tap room is on 6th Street.

The tap room is the location to enjoy Sawtooth Brewery beer, with the brewery selling out of all of their beer every weekend since their soft opening. Beginning on December 2, the tap room hours will be 3pm-10pm Wednesday through Friday and 1pm-10pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The tap room will not be open on Wednesday or Thursday this week in Preparation for the Grand Opening. The tap room has multiple guest taps including a nitro tap and cask conditioned beer as well. The list of current beers on tap and what is fermenting will be listed on Sawtooth Brewery’s new web-site, which will be launched later this week at www.sawtoothbrewery.com. The tap room also features locally produced Frenchman’s Gulch wines and Bucksnort Root Beer.

The tap room has some simple snacks available and guests are welcome to bring in their own food, take-out, or have food delivered from other restaurants to enjoy with their beer. The tap room also features Toni’s Sun Valley Ice Cream in Stout Floats, Root Beer Floats, and pints of Beer Fusion Ice Cream to go. The brewery offers growler fills for all of the beers on tap, allowing guests to enjoy Sawtooth Brewery beer at home as well.

So far, the brewery has had such a demand for their beers that they have already added two more 2/3 barrel fermentors and ordered an additional one since their soft opening. They hope to add an additional fermentor in January to continue to increase their weekly production. Other plans for the near future for Sawtooth Brewery in addition to increasing fermentation space include hosting their 1st Annual Ugly Sweater Party on December 18. The brewery also hope to return to their own beginnings in January and work to encourage homebrewing in the Wood River Valley through education, networking, and hopefully assisting in the formation of a Wood River Home Brew Club.
