8th Sun Valley Half Marathon & Training Program

Yes, 2012 has arrived and it is time to start thinking about your running season. First up is the 8th Sun Valley Half Marathon and TWO PERSON RELAY, yup, the relay is returning! Race day is June 2, 2012, start time is 9am for both races. Need a little help preparing for the Sun Valley Half Marathon? Join the YMCA Sun Valley Half Marathon 12 week training program, led by coach Brad Mitchell, a RRCA certified distance coach and NSCA Personal Trainer along with experienced group leaders from the local running community. There is an important informational meeting on February 6

th at 5:30 pm at the Wood River Y at which time participants will receive a four week preprogram training schedule to get prepared for the full twelve week session, important information like the lecture schedule and the childwatch offering, footstrike analysis information and have the opportunity to sign up for the program; signing up on the 6th saves you $5. Official training program start date is March 10.
