Stanley Lake in September To view a larger size photo - click on the small photo for options. Kellen Corrigan is not your ordinary man...nay...far from it. You would never guess it by looking at him but he is actually quite dangerous, possibly even deadly... maybe not for you, but defiantly for your liver! This man is a fun loving extraordinaire. Like his friend Tyler, Kellen also spent last winter basking in the glow of beautiful Sun Valley and also like Tyler, Kellen decided that even though he probably just had the single greatest ski season of his adult life he should pack up his three dirty t-shirts, his one pair of torn jeans, his giant silly Elmer Fud, Russian fur cap (photo included), guitar, amp, & all of his hockey gear then drive the 3,000 some miles to Alaska. He had no money and no job but some how managed to find a place to stay (photo included) and became a tour guide on a Wagon (Photo also included). The best part about this story is that after some careful consideration he has decided to move back to Sun Valley! ...He may not have a job, he probably...
Tyler Conrad Benoit spent last winter here in Sun Valley and even though it was probably the greatest winter of his life, he just could not resist the call of the wild.
Leaving behind all of the life long friends he made in his time here, all of the people who touched his heart and enriched his soul, all of the great memories and even some of the fuzzier ones.... He left it all.... He left it all for his next big adventure!
....a shuttle bus driver in Denali, Alaska! Yes, he left "Sun" Valley right when the weather was getting warm to go live in frigid AK. for the Summer. I know... I thought it too... but he is not actually crazy. With a little help from his friends he has realized the error in his ways and I am happy to report that he will be back in Sun Valley for yet another amazing ski season! And since I am such a great friend I decided he should come back to town with a little "bread" in his pocket.
Here is his entry for the contest Pic. 1 "Sunset over...
"Cyrano" at Alice Lake Photo By: Mike Smith Msmithsv@gmail.com "If you are lucky enough to live in the Mountains....well then, you're lucky enough" - Anonymous This is a summer photo taken at Fish Hook Creek near Redfish Lake, Idaho I was a farmer this summer, on Kauai, HI. A hurricane knocked a chicken farm all over the island more than 15 years ago, making the island one giant breeding coop. They fly, they cluck, they gobble and squawk and cock-a doodle. Not just in the morning either, one disturbed rooster can set off the whole grid. And if one rooster crows, all must crow. I don't fully understand this phenomenon. I lived outside, tent-less and under the air, bitten by bugs and greeted by morning birds. And when the morning work was done, I might have taken a nap. Knowing when I was asleep, the watchers would move in, terrorizing my garden and raiding my compost bucket. I managed to catch one in action. Breaking News! He was a puppy from Kearanen Talo German Shepherds (Fran Jewell) and bred specifically for service work in temperament and health. He was then trained by Positive Partners Assitance Dogs, Inc which was founded by Fran Jewell and Morgan Spector and was placed as a hearing assistance dog for a deaf woman in Bellevue, WA.
Baewulf is trained to "go get Danielle" and show her things that make sounds she needs to be aware of, like the morning alarm to get up, smoke detections, running water, if the phone or door bell rings, someone knocks at the door, someone calls Danielle's name, or even if the timer on the stove goes off. He also alerts her to emergency sirens while Danielle is driving.
Wulf (as we call him) made many friends here in the...
